We Love Kennesaw
City of Kennesaw - Civil war canon with Kennesaw Mountain in the background
Dr. Duncan, your dentist in Kennesaw, GA, and his team treasure living and working at our dental office in the historical city of Kennesaw.  The area northwest of Atlanta is a safe and affordable place to raise a family and centrally located in the state of Georgia. Our college community retains the feel of a quiet, suburban town in the Cobb County area with a booming local market and plenty to see and do.

We invite you to discover some of the attractions, activities, and eateries that make Kennesaw the best place to live in Georgia.

  • Our Cobb County city is bordered by Acworth to the northwest and adjoined by Marietta to the southeast.

  • Kennesaw Mountain, located southeast of Kennesaw, is the highest point in the Atlanta metro area, at an elevation of 1,808 feet above sea level.

  • Until 1887, Kennesaw was known as “Big Shanty” for the many workers’ shanties built along the railway. The name lives on in the annual Big Shanty Festival, downtown Big Shanty Park, and The Art Station.

  • Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park commemorates a major Civil War battle between Sherman’s forces and the Confederate defenders near Kennesaw Mountain, located about 20 miles northwest of Atlanta.

  • Kennesaw is home to Kennesaw State University, the third largest university in Georgia with more than 35,000 students and offering more than 150 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees.
